South Australia’s First Autism Strategy Discussion Paper: Consultation Report 2023
We worked with the Government of South Australia Department of Human Services (SA DHS) to create an Easy Read version of South Australia’s First Autism Strategy Discussion Paper: Consultation Report 2023. To develop South Australia’s Autism Strategy and Charter, SA DHS asked the community what should be included. They received over 1,200 responses.
These responses came from Autistic people, their families, carers and guardians, as well as providers, organisations, people in government and the broader community.
The Easy Read report sums up the feedback on the 9 main themes of the proposed Autism Strategy. These themes included topics such as understanding autism, education, work and the accessibility of services.
To make sure the report was easy to navigate, we divided the information into clear sections. We gave each theme its own highlight colour and border, still in keeping with our client’s branding.
As well as creating an accessible PDF of the Easy Read for publishing online, we also produced a print-ready version. Our client needed to provide several professionally printed copies at the launch of the documents. We were able to get the print version ready in a very tight timeframe to meet the printer deadline.
