We welcome you to talk to us about training and building capacity around accessible communication within your organisation. We regularly run information sessions and workshops in Easy Read, plain language and web accessibility – all of which can be tailored to your needs.
The training is useful for a range of people in an organisation, especially those working in the disability sector or culturally and linguistically diverse communities. It is helpful for communication and marketing teams who are looking for new ways to engage with their audience. The training is also useful for a range of program areas where developing publications and engaging with the community is in an important part of the work being done.
We offer training in a range of flexible formats. We cover:
- Easy Read – the what, why and how of accessible content
- Plain language – how to cut through the gobbledegook
- Accessible documents – how to create accessible Word and PDF files.

An example of our work in this area
We recently had the pleasure of travelling to Launceston and Hobart, where we delivered Easy Read training workshops to people from the government, disability and community sectors. The training was sponsored by 26TEN and the Tasmanian Government and, when asked questions on the evaluation form like “I can directly apply this to my work” and “The content was engaging and useful”, we received 100% positive responses.
