Disability Royal Commission releases its Second Progress Report in Easy Read

The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability has published its Second Progress Report. The report explains the work the Royal Commission has done over the last six months.

This includes their:

  • first public hearing in Sydney in February about the experience of people with cognitive disability when they use health care services
  • Statement of Concern about how coronavirus and the 2019-2020 bushfire season have affected people with disability
  • Issues papers about:
  • emergency planning and response
  • employment
  • First Nations people with disability.

It also talks about the work the Royal Commission will do over the next six months. We worked with the Royal Commission to convert the Second Progress Report into Easy Read. You can find it on the Royal Commission’s website.
