First Progress Report for the Disability Royal Commission – Easy Read summary

In December 2019, the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability published the First Progress Report. This document outlines the work that the Royal Commission completed in 2019 and the work that is planned for 2020. We had the privilege of developing the Easy Read version of this report for the Royal Commission.

The report explains the hearings and community meetings that had taken place up to that point, the issues papers that have been developed and some key strategic documents that were being developed or in use. It is a great resource for sharing with people with intellectual disability or low levels of literacy and a quick to read summary of the progress of the Royal Commission up to December 2019.

You can find the report on the Royal Commission’s website.
