Disability Royal Commission Response Taskforce

We were proud to work with the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS) on an Easy Read overview of the new Commonwealth Disability Royal Commission Response Taskforce (the Taskforce).

We have had the privilege of working on numerous Easy Read projects for the Australian Government Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (the Royal Commission) between 2019 and 2023.

The Australian Government has now established the Taskforce to give them advice about how to respond to the recommendations in the Royal Commission final report.

It was important for information about the Royal Commission to be accessible to the wider community so as many people as possible could engage with the process. We are pleased to continue this important work with the Taskforce as it’s important for everyone to be able to learn what the Australian Government is doing now that the Royal Commission has finished.

It’s also incredibly important that the wider community has the opportunity to continue engaging with this process and provide feedback. We worked quickly to prepare the Easy Read overview of the Taskforce for use in stakeholder meetings and publication.

You can find the Easy Read overview of the Taskforce on the DSS website.
