The National Disability Strategy 2010–2020 is based on Australia’s commitments to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and paved the way for major changes to the disability landscape in Australia.

With the strategy and its associated policies due to expire next year, the Australian Government is preparing for a community consultation period to shape policy for the next 10 years. An open public survey, face-to-face community workshops in all states and territories, and an online forum will take place between April and June as part of the consultation process.

It explains what the Australian Government wants to know and how people can have their say. You can read it on the Department of Social Services website. The website explains how you can take part in the consultation process.
